History: Most of Frodo's childhood was spent in Brandy hall in Buckland in his family's home. He was born on September 22, 2968. In his youth Frodo was known as a trouble-maker, and would often steal food from Farmer Maggot's crops. When he was only 12 years old his parents drowned in a boating accident on the Brandywine river. He stayed alone in his home until his Uncle adopted him nearly a decade later after his parent's demise. He then went to live with his Uncle Bilbo at Bag's End and was made heir of the property. The two grew very close and his Uncle taught him some of the elvish language and told him stories of Middle Earth. The two even shared the same birthday, September 22nd, and a party was held for them (mostly Bilbo) before Frodo agreed to take the Ring to Mordor.
It was actually at the party that Frodo first learned of the ring, because Bilbo used it to disappear from the party, and had planned on going away with it into the wilderness to Rivendell, where he planned to spend his last days. After talking with Gandalf, Bilbo was convinced to leave the Ring to Frodo before setting out on his journey to Rivendell, which in turn made Frodo the next Ring Bearer.
It was not long after that, where Frodo agreed to take the Ring to the elves. The journey was dangerous, and had it not been for Aragorn's help, they may not have made it very far. They faced Ringwraiths at Weathertop, where Frodo was injured by one of their swords. After that Arwen took him the rest of the way to Rivendell, where the elves were able to use their magic to heal him.
After his healing, he was able to see Bilbo again and was surprised at how much his Uncle had aged since he had left the Shire. Bilbo gave him some magical armor in which Frodo accepted. It was shortly after that a meeting was held to decide the Fate of the Ring. Soon the members of the meeting began to fight over who would take the Ring, and it was then Frodo agreed to take it Mordor himself, and throw it in the fires of Mount Doom so that it could be destroyed. Now he has set off on a journey with the fellowship, their intent is to do what Frodo agreed - to throw the Ring in the fires of Mount Doom.

(taken from a HP site, if I need to write one for Frodo, let me know!)
Hermione had been studying up in her dormitory nearly all day except when she wasn't in class. It was the only thing that kept her from thinking about how dreadful the blizzard was outside. However, it was hard to concentrate with the wind howling outside the tower. Each time she'd get in her zone of studying, she would felt the tower shudder slightly in the wind, or become distracting with the howling of the wind itself. It was really quite frustrating. After a few more minutes of trying to endure it, Hermione slammed her books shut and gathered all the parchment that was spread out on her bed; determined to find a place to study that was a bit more quiet.
Perhaps the library wouldn't be so loud. At least in a library one could expect it would be somewhat quiet. Considering that's what libraries were known for - quiet. Ah that word sounded so good to her, that she hurriedly left the common room and made her way down the stairway. She jumped when a familiar blond-headed Ravenclaw approached her. She had definitely developed more respect for Luna - whom she used to call 'Looney Luna'. Ever since she had helped them the previous year inside the Ministry, she felt she was closer to girl and at least understood her more.
When she asked if she could join her, since they seemed to be headed in the same direction, Hermione shrugged. "Sure, I'm going to the library. This blizzard is making the dormitory unbearable. I wish it would stop already...!" she said in an exasperated voice.
