Boromir of Gondor I’m sure most if not all those who have read Lord of the Rings knows Boromir at least somewhat, so I’ll just give a brief little introduction to him here! Boromir is the 41 year-old eldest son to Steward Denethor II, the current “ruler” of Gondor. His mother passed away when he was young and his younger brother is Fararmir. He is a Steward-Prince of Gondor and is heir to the throne of the Steward, as well as Captain of the White Tower. His undying loyalty to Gondor and acts of bravery against the forces of Sauron while commanding the forces of Gondor have earned him a reputation as a skilled warrior and leader throughout Gondor and even to other realms of Middle Earth. Upon he and his brother Faramir acquiring a dream however, Boromir undertook a journey away from his proud homeland westward, to the elven city of Rivendell, and after taking part in the Council of Elrond has joined the fellowship as one of its companions, though he does not agree fully with their motives. So I don’t have any ideas so far about plots I would like to do, but I’m fully open to any suggestions by anyone interested! Boromir is of course with the Fellowship at the moment, so any interactions with members of the group are the most likely, but since they just departed, threads taking part in Rivendell prior to their leave are also an option. And if anyone wanted to do a “past thread” while Boromir was in Gondor I’m open to that as well, though I don’t believe there are many Gondor characters at the moment. Still, I would love to hear any ideas anyone has, or even if you just wanted to express interest in a possible thread or plot maybe we can work something out! So anyone interested?

Of course I am interested! In fact, you make me wish I'd snatched up Faramir after all.
Artamir would be more suited for some 'early on' thread. My very frist thought was to maybe playour the end of that dramatic battle in Osgiliath, just before the bridge goes down (with Artamir being one of the other two survivors - and given his age, that ), but I think with that I would like to wait until we have a Faramir.
If you generall like the idea, we could try some kind of aftermath, though. It seems logical that two men who have lived through such a thing together would recognize one another when they happen to run into each other.

A thread during the defense of Osgiliath does sound amazing, but you're right when you say that we probably should wait from someone to take Faramir first. Though once that happens and if the member is willing too I'd be completely for such a thread!
As for instead an aftermath thread between simply our two characters, sounds great to me! It does make plently of sense that they would be able to recognize each other, Boromir being commander and Artamir being one of four who survived the defense of Osgiliath. Since Artamir is a ranger however they would likely have to meet somewhere either in Minas Tirith while your character is there, or at least somewhere west of Osgiliath, since the rangers of Ithilien are Faramir's rather than Boromir's forces, and I don't see why he would be anywhere within Ithilien, unless it was a raid across the Anduin or the like.

It's quite possible that Boromir and Legolas got aquainted a little more in Rivendell before they all started on the journey. Legolas would have tried to get to know the other members of the fellowship (with the exception of Gimli) a little better during that time.

Frodo is up for a thread with Boromir! I'd probably go canon with it and have him a little bit distrustful of him, unless you had other ideas?

Minas Tirith sounds like a good location. Each individual Ranger would not be in Ithilien all the time. Messages and reports would have to be carried to the City, orders back, and I still fancy that once in a while some groups of soldiers are given some time outside of Ithilien. Since he's one of the youngest it's even quite likely that Artamir would be put on messenger duty.
Or they could run into each other near the mess hall.
